We’ll be painting Portland Puebla to celebrate Del Maguey’s newest expression! Attendees will join us in a local art studio where they can relax and let their creativity flow as they swap stories of Mezcal and learn from our Juez. Following, we will share Copitas during a special paired lunch.

Portland's Freeland Distillery, Straightaway Cocktails, and Accompani join forces to educate you on botanicals, ingredients, distillation methods, and cocktail creations. You will visit Straightaway and Accompani's N.E. Portland production facility to learn terroir, botanicals, and ingredient stories. We'll then travel to N.W. Portland’s Freeland Distillery for a tour with Molly Troupe, their master distiller. We'll end the day with a specialty cocktail competition to test your new knowledge. P.S. The judges will be fabulous.

3-Hour Marketing Professionals and Bartender Pass Workshop. Bartender, Industry, and Media Priority.

From 2-3 pm, select media and Bartender Passholders are invited to join The Pathfinder Hemp and Root and Coopers' Craft Bourbon for a demonstration of a low-proof, no-proof, and full-A.B.V. riff on the classic cocktail, the Bouelvardier. From 3-5 pm, a larger trade audience will be welcomed in for a cocktail-style event. Enjoy light fare and delicious cocktails while you mix and mingle!

In this session, you'll learn a few easy ways to minimize waste, maximize yield, and work with new and exciting ingredients for your bar program. We'll show you how to reuse prepped ingredients often thrown away or overlooked and taste several delicious cocktails using "spent" elements to create a balanced and diverse menu. We will also cover Carley's Yield Map to show how much juice you can get from a case of citrus and various fruits and vegetables to pinpoint precisely how much produce to order. If that wasn’t enough, you’ll learn how the teams at Cuervo, Mezcal Unión, Mucha Liga Tequila, Mezcal Pierde Almas, and Torres Brandy incorporate sustainable distilling practices when producing some of the world’s finest spirits.

Looking for a way to combine your love of Mezcal with your adoration of bird watching? We’ve got you covered! Join us for the Güero Bird Club with Banhez Mezcal for a 3-hour adventure exploring Portland’s avian wildlife over sips of artisanal Mezcal. Binoculars, lunch, and Mezcal provided; bird species to be determined.

Attendees will tour the distillery and farm and learn about craft distillation, operations, and production methods. After tasting Ransom spirits, attendees will be offered a friendly challenge in a cocktail competition judged by the Ransom's master distiller and a cocktail professional.

Join the Mr Black ambassador team on a guided roastery tour and coffee cupping with the team from Proud Mary, one of Portland’s best Coffee Roasters!

In this workshop, we will:

*Learn how terroir, processing, and roasting influence the flavors in your coffee (and your coffee liqueur!).

*Get a crash course in “cupping” technique and how to taste coffee to get the most flavor on your palate.

*Identify flavor components in coffee and learn the language to describe them using the flavor wheel.

*Explore complimentary flavor pairings and discuss cocktail applications beyond our beloved Espresso Martini.

*Plus - we'll be bringing along some very special single-origin Mr Black expressions for an exclusive tasting and serving up some unique coffee cocktails to kick off your week.

With a focus on wellness and mindful drinking, the No/Low Tour celebrates non-alcoholic and low-A.B.V. cocktails created by the best bartenders in the industry, featuring unparalleled creativity using premium fresh ingredients. The No/Low Tour acknowledges that the spirit of the beverage industry doesn’t lie in the spirits themselves, but in the community and moments, we create with a great drink in hand. Join Alex Jump (FOH), Shannon Michelle (Brass Ring), and Nick Hogan (Mover & Shaker) for a deep dive into the ins and outs of Non-Alcoholic + Low A.B.V. regarding industry trends, production, menu implementation, and guest interactions.

Portland Cocktail Week Students will be paired with industry mentors for one-on-one sessions focused on taking their careers to the next level. Brought to you by Diageo Bar Academy, these life-changing meetings help form mentorships, boost careers, and provide invaluable connections and information. Sessions feel up fast, so don’t hesitate to sign up once the schedule is available for booking!
