Join Oregon native and Irish Master Distiller of the Year 2019, Alex Chasko, of the world’s most awarded Irish Whiskey, Teeling, for an interactive Q&A and tasting, followed by a first-of-its-kind finishing masterclass.

In this session, Alex will blind taste Students through a selection of incredibly unique and unusual whiskies from our distillery in Dublin, talk through the incredible process of cask finishing that Teeling Irish Whiskey has become so well known for, and discuss its impact on our Whiskey. The casks have been hand-picked by Alex for this new educational program from Teeling, giving the attendees at Portland Cocktail Week a preview of what’s to come from Teeling in the future.

The Garnish Workshop presented by Tanqueray Gin offers attendees a chance to learn the essential techniques for crafting, storing, and selecting garnishes. These garnishes enhance the visual appeal of cocktails and contribute to their flavor profiles. Throughout the workshop, attendees develop the thought process behind selecting specific tools and how to safely use and maintain them as they practice techniques in a hands-on advanced garnish-cutting session.

Brought to you by Diageo Bar Academy, these life-changing meetings help form mentorships, boost careers, and provide invaluable connections and information. Sessions feel up fast, so don’t hesitate to sign up once the schedule is available for booking!
