CLASS: Old Forester 1870 Original Batch Lab

In 1870, George Garvin Brown, founder of Old Forester, made history by batching together whisky barrels to craft the First Bottled Bourbon. Join Old Forester Master Taster Melissa Rift to learn how Old Forester batches and formulates their 1870 Original Batch expression in the Whiskey Row Series. You'll complete a sensory analysis of the 1870 Original Batch, sample and select from bourbon that could be used for this expression, and complete two rounds of batching to match the consistent flavor profile of the 1870 Original Batch. Try this historic practice dating back 153 years, and see if you have what it takes to craft a consistent and quality batch of bourbon. Delicious bites, inspired cocktails, and vintage pours accompany what will surely be a fun afternoon with Old Forester.
