Portland Cocktail Week brings the brightest lights of the bar world together for education and networking. Now in its 10th year, it has grown into a business-focused training curriculum tailored to bartenders.
In an industry that offers many educational opportunities focused on tasting and products, we took a different approach and filled a vacuum in the unoccupied career training educational space by offering practical, tactical and hands-on training with a tight focus on the business of the bar, with concentrations in the following areas:
Since there’s limited industry education in these areas, we found ourselves in a position to look to the leaders in this community; through their knowledge and support, we develop our annual curriculum and provide access to the information and expertise necessary for developing sustainable career paths across all strata of the industry.
We’re able to provide this education without a marketing pitch thanks to the sponsors that support our trade show, majors, meals and after class activities. This model allows us to provide education focused directly on our community’s needs.
This year’s PDXCW will take place November 10–15, 2019 in Portland Oregon.
We hope to see you there.
Apply to Attend as a Student – Those accepted as a student at Portland Cocktail Week are guaranteed admittance into all assigned classes and events. Additionally, you will be invited to a dinner with your Major Class peers, along with a field trip. Some students will also be awarded scholarships, which earn you a room at our host hotel for the week. Applications close 11:59pm ET on July 25th.
Sign up for a Bartender Pass – Designed for working bartenders, this pass gets you access to all events and classes on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s absolutely free, and doesn’t require a week-long commitment like the student program – you just need to be a working bartender who’s not currently representing a brand.
Buy an Industry Pass – If you work for a spirits brand, or an enthusiast who’s interested in attending, you can still attend Portland Cocktail Week with an Industry pass.
